The following chart is an edited version of the ENERGY STAR list. It was condensed to include only better known dishwashers. This chart shows: Brands, Model numbers, (kWh/year) the total estimated kilowatt hours each unit consumes per year , (Energy Factor) a number that enables you to compare the relative efficiency of different units, (% better) how much each unit exceeds the minimum federal standard, and the operational costs of each unit. This chart shows you that ASKO dishwashers still lead the industry when it comes to (set the standards for) energy efficiency.

The following chart is an edited version of the ENERGY STAR list. It was condensed to include only better known front load clothes washers. This chars shows: Brands, Model numbers, the total estimated kilowatt hours each unit consumes per year (kWh/year), and the Modified Energy Factor (MEF) of each unit. The new ENERGY STAR specifications require that qualified products have a MEF of 1.72 or greater. MEF is an equation that takes into account the energy used during the washing process including: machine energy, water heating energy, and dryer energy. This chart shows that ASKO is a leader in energy efficiency, especially when compared to similar sized washers.
