What is the issue?
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ASKO Cylinda are conducting a voluntary recall of dishwasher models, 1355, 1385, 1475, 1485, 1555, 1585, 1595, 1655, 1805, 1885 and 1895, manufactured from 1995 – April 2000.
We are conducting this recall because we discovered that a short circuit could occur between the wax motor in the drying fan assembly and the control unit that could potentially cause extensive damage to the interior of the door of the unit.
The Commission determined that modifications made to the wax motor and control unit would correct and prevent this from happening.
What incidents or injuries have occurred due to this problem?
